Jeremiah Vincent was born on May 20, 1798. His parents were Lieutenant John Vincent and Sarah Johnson.

He married, Martha Hastings on January 20, 1820. Martha was born on Nov. 14, 1798. She was the daughter of Isaac and Martha Kelly Hastings, of Brookville, Indiana.
