Henry Oxley

 
Oxley is also spelled Owsley, Oxleigh and Oxly.
 

New Jersey's first permanent European settlement was in 1660.

Henry Oxley Sr. was born about 1679.

Henry Oxley who was born in 1699 was probably his son.

On December 8, 1701 Benjamin Field, yeoman of Chesterfield, Burlington County, West New Jersey sold 5000 acres to Henry Oxley, yeoman who also lived in Chesterfield.

He was sheriff in Hopewell, New Jersey in 1720.

In 1727 he witnessed John Knowles' will.
