John Plumlee was born about 1677 in England.. He was the son of Charles Plumlee and Margery Ann Page. His mother married Henry Paxson after his father's death.

He married Mary Bainbridge in April, 1707.

John Plumlee (1715/6, married Alice Heaton).
William Plumlee ( 1719 married Phoebe Denton, daughter of Abraham Denton)
