cream 1/2 cup each shortening and sugar beat 2 eggs add dissolve 1 cake compressed yeast in 3/4 cup milk add add 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup each chopped raisens, nut meats, citron and candied cherries add 5 cups flour knead Put into 8 in greased pan cover let rise until double in bulk bake in moderate oven (350°) 1 hour frost with confectioners sugar.
