1 qt milk
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 yeast cakes
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon B. P. [baking powder]
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups flour.
Scald milk
add shortening and yeast which has been soaked in 1/2 cup luke warm water
add dry ingredients
let raise,
add more flour & knead
Put in ice box.
When needed roll out or Pinch off small amounts.
Put in Pan to raise
bake in hot oven.

Slow oven 250–350°F
Moderate oven 350–375°F
Hot oven 375–450°F
