1 cup egg whites (running over)
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour (swans down)
1 t-s- cream tarter
salt
vanilla

Beat eggs till froghty
add cream tarter
& beat till stiff.

Sift flour 5 times before measurings

sift sugar

add to flour

sift several times

fold in

Add vanilla last.

Bake slow 1 hr.

Aunt Pit often assumes that any idiot knows what to do with the cake ingredients. For those of us who don't: Gather ingredients Preheat oven to 350°. Grease cake pan. Mix wet ingredients in a bowl. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Pour batter into pan/pans. Bake about 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the cake is dry.
