The Maxwell, Harmer and Spry Families

 

 

James and Mary (Harmer) Maxwell lived in a part of Baltimore County, Maryland that became Harford County.

Mary Harmer's parents were Godfrey Harmer and Mary Sprye. They were wealthy land owners and owned land on which the town of Havre de Grace now stands as well as many other plantations including Samson which her father gave them when they married.

Mary Sprye's parents were Oliver and Johanna Sprye. Oliver came from England.
