    David Walton was born about 1708 Manor of Moreland (now Upper Moreland Township), Philadelphia County (now Montgomery) County, Pennsylvania. His parents were Thomas Walton and Priscilla Hunn.

    David is believed to be the son of Thomas and Priscilla Walton only because he was old enough for the third generation and is not known to be a member of another family (Byberry Waltons, page 19).
    The Manor of Moreland was composed of a tract of ten thousand acres, and was created, in 1682, by a grant from William Penn to Dr. Nicholas More. Most of the Manor was in Philadelphia County, but is now Moreland Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
