    Mercy Eliot Alton was born about 1700 in Marblehead, Essex County, Massachusetts. Her parents were Joseph Eliot and Sarah Collins.

    Mercy married William Alton on December 16, 1719 in Marblehead. He was the son of William Alton.

    Mercy and William's children were John Alton (1720), William Alton (1723), David Alton (1724), and David Alton (1728).

    William died at Charlton, Massachusetts about 1778
    Lady Day Before 1752 the year began on March 25th. Dates between January 1st and March 24th were at the end of the year, not the beginning.
