An American Family History

Mary Magdalene Kessler Myers was born on January 31, 1786 in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Henry and Barbara Kessler.

She married George Myers on October 8, 1804 in Greenbrier County, Virginia. George was born about February 15, 1777 in Maryland. His parents were Lewis and Mary Myers.

George and Mary's children were Jacob Myers, George Myers, Sarah Myers, Samuel Myers, Catherine Myers (1809), Rebecca Myers (1811), John Myers (1813), Susannah Myers (1816), Lewis Myers (1821), Benjamin Myers (1830), and David Myers (1834).

The 1820 census showed George Miars in German Township, Clark County, Ohio. The family was still there in 1850. The household consisted of George age 73 and a farmer, Mary M. was 64, and Benjamin age 20. The next household was John Myers and his family. John was age 37 and born in Ohio.

George died on July 18,l 1853 and Mary died on February 22, 1867 in Clark County, Ohio and is buried in Myers Cemetery, German Township, Clark County, Ohio.
